Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must be a minimum of 17yrs of age at time of application and have graduated from High School.
  • or 19yrs of age to qualify as a Mature Student Status as per the policy.  This policy can be found under 'Key Policies'.
  • Student are required to meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR).  This policy can be found under 'Key Policies'. 

Pre-requisites Prior to the Start Date

  • Candidates must be certified as an entry level sport diver. 
    *CDI can provide entry level training for candidates the week prior to the start of the program
  • Candidates must have a commercial diving medical acceptable to the Diver Certification Board of Canada and WorkSafe BC.
    *The Admissions Department will provide both domestic & international students guidance on obtaining a commercial medical

General Fees

  • Registration: Domestic $150.00 | International Students $350.00
  • Tuition $24,950.00 CDN   / $26,950.00 International 

Scheduled Course Breaks

  • CDI students will have all statutory holidays off.
  • There are no scheudled breaks through out the 21 weeks of training.  

General Schedule 

  • The Unrestricted Surface Supplied Diver Program certified through the Diver Certification Board of Canada (DCBC) is a fulltime course of study operating over 21 weeks and provides in excess of 1080 instrucional hours. 
  • Classes generally commence at 0800hrs and may run through to 1700hrs. 

Program Eligilibilty for the Post Graduate Working Program (PGWP)

  • This is program is not eligibile for the PGWP
